Create a Purchase Order from the Jobs Area

When you create a purchase order from the Jobs area, the purchase order is automatically linked to the job.

To create a purchase order (PO) from the Jobs area, complete the following steps:

  1. (If you are already on the Job page, skip this step.) Locate the job for which you want to create a purchase order.
    1. Click Menu > Jobs > Job Search.
    2. Hover over the job number, then click the $ sign to display the Job page.
  2. Click the Purchases tab.
  3. Click Create PO. TrafficLIVE displays a Purchase Order page that automatically includes all of the purchase line items from the job, although it excludes any that have already been ordered.

    If Create PO is disabled, either there are no purchases or there is already a purchase order associated with the purchases.

  4. Enter a PO name and other relevant details.
  5. Click Create. The purchase order is created and the job is linked to the PO. You can view the related job by clicking the link in the Job # column. On the Jobs Purchases tab, you can view the related PO by clicking the link in the PO # column.
  6. Click Update to save the change.
